This erasure of women is spreading fast and far, from insular traditional communities to the wider Jewish public. Magazines, banks, and even health clinics refuse to show pictures of women and girls.

Conversations about breast cancer and screening are taboo... with fatal consequences.

Jewish business women cannot use their own headshots in advertising their businesses, putting them at a costly disadvantage.

Haredi men have assaulted women in the name of “modesty.”

When women aren’t seen, their voices aren’t heard, their needs aren’t met, and the entire Jewish community suffers the consequences.
