COVID-19 Chicago Jewish Emergency Assistance Fund
Your generosity has never been more important
There is no easy way to say this: Coronavirus is ruining the lives of people in our community.
Throughout Chicago, professionals have stopped working and collecting their paychecks (before Pesach!). Even business owners and executives suddenly face the reality of losing their incomes and savings. Many of them no longer have the ability to pay their employees.
What these Jewish souls need is immediate relief. They need a way to buy food for Pesach. A way to purchase necessities and pay for household expenses like mortgage or rent payments. They need a lifeline to stop the bleeding.
That’s why the community is coming together in a unified effort to reach out a hand and help those who need it the most. We have set an ambitious goal to raise $2,500,000 to provide immediate relief to Jewish families in Chicago. But we will not - we CANNOT - reach this goal without your help.
Please open your heart and donate today.
Chodesh Nissan, z'man charusanu, is no time to ignore the pleas of our brothers and sisters.
Never have we as a Jewish community experienced anything like this before. By donating today, you can grab the zechus of reaching out your hand to a member of our kehilla who is in pain.
We must be here for our community at this difficult time.
Your gift will alleviate the suffering of Jewish men and women who have lost their sources of income and are suddenly unable to make ends meet. Over the next eight weeks - as the community needs evolve - we will make the disbursements, and lives will begin to be rebuilt… all because of you.
There has never been a time quite like this. We know you may be facing challenges of your own. We only ask you to do what you can -- whatever is right for you!
Please reach out your hand and donate today. Every dollar helps. And we don’t have a moment to lose.
