Can you imagine a life lived in darkness?
Meet Jess, a Golden Retriever that was abandoned as a puppy. Born into darkness and hiding in the shadows, there was no future for her as one of the many forgotten. She has spent most of her life scared, neglected, living on the streets and scavenging for trash to eat. Her living nightmare was made worse when one day, hot oil was poured on her and she suffered 3rd degree burns on most of her body. All she did was look for shelter and love but was given scars and pain. She asks you, what did she do to deserve this?
One-day Jess was hit by a car and was left to die alone on the side of the road, she was suffering in her last breaths until a stranger gave her that 2nd chance at life by taking her to the vet.
Even in the darkest night, we can find a light.
Jess arrived at Woodrock and spent months recovering from a lifetime of despair, learning to trust humans again and trying to meet a furry friend along the way. Today, Jess has a new life in her new forever home, with a family who loves her more than words can explain.
Woodrock is a shining beacon of hope for the hopeless, a voice for the voiceless. A pro-life shelter that is committed to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming societies most vulnerable.
