The place: The schem area on the eve of the second Intifada.

The year: 2002, because of this Itzik sandroy () decided to establish a new settlement, in the hills of Yitzhar

The goal: To establish a community that will act as a chasidic lightpost for the entire area, just like the lubavitcher   rebbe instructs. In order to change the situation in the sector and change the darkness to light

In the year 2012. the Chabad yeshiva of Mitzpe Yitzhar was established, in order to strengthen the residents, strengthen the soldiers moral. Most importantly, in order to give excellent young men the tools to continue on in life and succeed!  

For 6 years the yeshiva has reached thousands of soldiers throughout the rebbe’s famous mivtzoim all year long. Over 50 students successfully graduated, and today over 30 students ages 15-18 learn here.

The senior command in the sector, sees Itzik as a partner, and the yeshiva became a spiritual and materialistic stop for the soldiers in the sector.

The students reach every soldier no mater how far from civillization they may be, in order to give them strengh and do the mivtzoim of the rebbe.

“Hello, I’m Itzik Sandroy,

I want to tell you a few things in the most Sincere way.

When I was 15 my father got a direct command from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, He directed him to move from “Qiryat Malachi” to the settlement called “Yitzhar” near “Elon More”, “Itamar” and the city of Shcem.

My dear father, who currently is fighting the “Machla Haydua” did what a Chassid of the Rebbe does, he moved the whole family to “Yitzhar”.

15 years ago I took my father’s Shlichus a step forward, and established the Mitzpe Yitzhar  that would act as a spiritual beacon for all the surrounding communities.

6 years ago I established a Chabad Yeshiva, where I could combine my passion for education with the Rebbe’s instructions, in a way that gives the students a strong jewish identity.

The yeshiva has become a strong asset in the area of Shomron.

It brings spiritual and physical help to soldiers, settlers and a connection between the army and us,

I’m calling you today, On the beginning of the 7th year,

We are doing the annual fundraising day to give us the power to continue in our success..
