I am a Dietitian, who works with many children with congenital heart defects. The survival of my patients is dependent on heart surgery. Save a Child's Heart foundation provides pediatric heart surgery for children in developing countries. In America, we are fortunate to have access to the medical care we need. Save a Child's Heart supplies medicine for children around the country, so all children have the opportunity to live past their childhood.
An estimated 5.5 million children in developing nations around the world will die because the required heart surgery they need is unobtainable.
Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) is an Israeli-based international non-profit organization which brings children from developing countries with heart conditions to Wolfson Medical Center, Holon for life-saving cardiac care. And we offer comprehensive training to medical professionals from these countries so they can return to their native country and continue saving more lives.
Motivated by the Jewish ethic of Tikkun Olam and spearheaded by Israel’s most advanced pediatric cardiac surgeons, SACH does more than mend hearts, it builds bridges and spreads love all over the world.
The cost for SACH to save the life of a child is $15,000. From May 9-June 9 2016, in honor of Israel’s Independence Day, SACH is raising $100,000 to save the lives of children in desperate need of heart operations.
But that's not all. Every donation made to the IAmIsrael campaign will be matched - meaning, together, we can DOUBLE the number of children we save! This campaign is ALL OR NOTHING, so we must reach the goal in order to receive any funds.
People from all over the world are getting involved and YOU CAN TOO! Give today and save a child’s heart.
