The Neve Dekalim Hesder Yeshiva was established in 1975 by Rabbi Ariel in Yamit. Shortly afterward, the yeshiva was uprooted from its home in the Sinai and relocated to Gush Katif. It operated there for two decades until it was uprooted during the Disengagement.
Withstanding the agony and the pain, the yeshiva was reborn in the city Ashdod and recenterd its mission to connect with the people of Israel.
The mantra of the yeshiva is based on "v’ahavta l’rayacha kamocha” and we have established a number of key projects to that end:
-
Connecting through Torah - Torat Eretz Yisrael strengthens the soul, available to the public everyday including Fridays.
-
Connecting through Education - Activities in religious schools and secular schools, kindergartens, and special education.
-
Connecting through Action - Establishing a gemach, supporting converting Jews, helping Bar Mitzvah students, olim, and the general public.
-
Connecting to Zionism - the "Gur Aryeh" project for French youth and a warm home for Israel’s lone soldiers.
-
Connecting to the Community - A focus on ahavat Yisrael and bringing them to Torah
What unifies all of these activities is a commitment to CONNECT with the UNENGAGED.
The dedication and sense of mission that characterized Gush Katif are now directed to the general public, the southern periphery, and the residents of Ashdod.
We are currently completing the new structure for the Neve Dekalim hesder yeshiva in its new home in Ashdod. To raise crucial funds, we are launching a fundraising campaign that will last only 36 hours, during which time every NIS will be doubled.
You can help us complete the yeshiva! You can become a partner.
