In 2017 there were thousands of cases of abuse and violence in religious and ultra-Orthodox Jewish communities. As these issues become exposed, and the understanding that this exists "in our own community" begins to seep in, the fear for our children's safety grows. Are they okay? How can we know if someone harms them?
How can we protect them?
You can't always know, but you can take a firm stand.
And that's happening today!
Today is the day to stand strong for our children, to give them the tools to protect themselves, to build their self-confidence and to instill in them skills to identify when someone has crossed a line and is about to harm them.

Tahel's elementary school workshops and educational staff training endow your children with the knowledge and awareness that will protect them.

Debbie Gross, founder and director of Tahel, is a pioneer in the field, the first to begin raising social awareness on issues of abuse and violence in the religious and ultra-Orthodox communities, where until recently these issues were completely taboo.

Tahel's workshops and training that Debbie has been conducting around the world teach educational staff to follow the children and identify when something is amiss. The children learn about boundaries and limits, and when their personal space has been violated. They learn how to respond and when to say no! It's all done with age-appropriate language and methods.
The goal is that no child should feel helpless when facing an attacker. No child should be afraid to tell you – Mom and Dad – when they don't feel safe!
