The Bnei Reem Yeshiva was established about 30 years ago by the late Rabbi Shmuel Friedman, in order to provide a solution for yeshiva students who needed a personal framework, suitable for the challenges and personal struggles they experienced.

The above need was the lot of many boys and R. Shmuel is the one who "jumped into the water" and paved the way for many more who followed him. The yeshiva soon became a success story, thanks to the educational and unique approach of R. Shmuel who was for the boys a father, friend and educator.

The atmosphere in the yeshiva is one of family and warmth. The guys have a bond with the yeshiva that lasts long after they leave the yeshiva. "Yeshivat Bnei Reem" - a yeshiva that is a home. A yeshiva that is a family.

A year ago, the yeshiva's founder, the late Rabbi Friedman, passed away, after 30 years in which he gave his life for it in wind and rain. His son, Rabbi Moshe Friedman Shlita continues in the Rav's steps.

Along with success in spirit, the yeshiva faces many existential difficulties, with the main difficulty being the defective physical conditions.

The compound where the yeshiva is located (the beit midrash, the boarding schools and the dining rooms) needs a comprehensive and immediate renovation. The conditions in the area are very poor and it is difficult to impossible to hold a yeshiva in such a situation.

The yeshiva has concrete plans for the renovation and restoration of the compound, in a way that will both improve the conditions and create an channel of side income that will help the ongoing existence of the yeshiva.

The cost of implementing the plan is 6 million NIS, an amount that the yeshiva cannot raise independently, especially after the departure of R. Shmuel, who bore the burden of the yeshiva's material existence.

Due to the critical need for the implementation of the plans and the inability of the yeshiva to raise the required amount, on its own, it was decided to launch a 'crowdfunding' campaign so that together, with the help of each and every person, the yeshiva will raise the required amount, and serve as a growing and nurturing home for the students.

In addition to the great practical need, there is also a need to revive the yeshiva in gratitude to R. Shmuel and the foundation of his life's work for which he gave his life - literally.

On the eve of the first anniversary of his departure, you are contributing to the establishment of Kiryat Yeshiva "Bnei Reem" and become partners in the existence of this great and important place.
