Founded under the direction of HaGaon HaRav Moshe Shapira zt”l, Yozmat Orot has made it its mission to fulfil his instruction and teach today’s youth Torah and the light of yiddishkeit.

Yozmat Orot operates diverse programs that take place in public schools, universities, community centers etc. across Israel and abroad. Activities and study sessions are given over in a creative and experiential manner and cater to those ‘who no one else reaches’ teaching them Torah. For most participants this is the first and often the only exposure they have with yiddishkeit and the effect is long lasting.

HaGaon HaRav Moshe Shapira zt”l clearly stated that the responsibility lies on us all:

"מעיקר דין תורה מחויבים כל כלל ישראל בזה חיוב גמור, לדאוג ללמד, ואין שום נפקא מינה אמיתית בין תינוקות של בית רבן לתינוקות שנשבו. הדין הזה לא תלוי בגיל. כל מי שמוכן ורוצה ללמוד - כלל ישראל מחויב ללמד."
